Lauren was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where she completed her high school education at one of the top preparatory schools in the country, St. John’s School. After graduating, she traveled to Austin, Texas to participate in the psychology program at The University of Texas at Austin. It was there that she developed the knowledge and skills to help people through their struggles. As a result, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and even received the distinguished honor of being accepted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Lauren then moved on to receive her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law and was further honored with the AmJur Award, twice. She has been happily practicing law in the State of Texas, in good standing, since 2010 and has been a certified mediator since 2016.
Throughout her life, Lauren has been a constant volunteer with a big heart. In her youth, she volunteered as a candy striper (young hospital volunteer) at a number of hospitals in the Houston Area. She would later go on to visit those same hospitals as a volunteer for the American Red Cross. Lauren took each visit as an opportunity to help make someone’s day just a little bit better. Additionally, Lauren has participated in a number of exciting internships with the New York Police Department Forensic Investigation Division, Austin Police Department Crisis Response Team/Victim Services, Attorney General of Texas Law Enforcement Defense Division, Harris County District Attorney Administrative Office of the District Court, and the Success Through Addiction Recovery (STAR) Drug Court Program.
Prior to joining Bailey & Galyen, Lauren worked with several firms on cases involving civil and criminal defense, professional license defense before the Texas Board of Medical Examiners and the Texas Board of Nursing, real estate, and oil and gas. However, it was in 2016 that Lauren found her calling in Workers’ Compensation. Since then, she has focused her practice on helping injured workers get the medical and financial assistance they need. In 2017, Lauren’s talents in the field were noticed, as she was offered to relocate to Dallas to expand her practice. In 2018, Lauren saw an even greater opportunity to help injured workers statewide and joined Bailey & Galyen to continue her practice in Workers’ Compensation.
