Veronica W. Montemayor
Veronica is a bilingual Immigration Attorney located in the Dallas office. She was admitted to practice law by the Texas Supreme Court in 2014. She was the first in her family to graduate college and has become the first lawyer in her family.
Being a first generation Mexican-American, both her parents had to navigate through the complex immigration laws of citizenship. Her childhood consisted of yearly family trips to their home country of Mexico to visit grandparents. It was not until she started law school where she began to see the affect that immigration laws had on other families all across the world and how fortunate she was. This is where Veronica’s passion for immigration law and helping families began.
The immigration law experience she brings includes permanent residency and citizenship through family based petitions, working with victims of crimes to obtain Visas, assisting those who qualify under the Dream Act to be able to remain in the United States and work legally, deportation defense work, in addition to helping juveniles through the Special Immigrant Juvenile Status law to obtain permanent legal status due to abuse, abandonment or neglect.
Veronica continues to stay up to date with the changing immigration laws to ensure her clients are provided the best possible options.
Veronica is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, and the Dallas Young Lawyers Association. Veronica also participates in local organizations that provide pro bono services to those indigent clients who would other wise not have an opportunity for legal representation.
