Managing Family Law Attorney Jane Mapes, who joined Bailey & Galyen in 1999, has been named by Southlake Style as one of the top family law attorneys for 2025. A partner with more than 36 years of practice experience, Jane assists clients with a wide range of family issues, including divorce, adoption, paternity disputes, name changes, child protective services matters, and termination of parental rights. She has worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the Texas Child Support Division, where she focused on the establishment, enforcement, and modification of all matters related to child support.
Jane has been actively involved in professional organizations, having served on the board of the Dallas Bar Association’s Family Law Section and as an associate in the Annette Stewart Inns of Court. She has cowritten a number of professional papers and has led Advanced Family Law Seminars for the State Bar of Texas. When not working hard to meet the needs of her clients, Jane prefers to be outside, hiking or biking with friends and family.
